Doordashusa Software Engineer I role for students graduating between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027, contributing to production-ready software with mentorship. Focus on building scalable technology improving experiences for consumers, merchants, and delivery partners across a global platform.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and ship production-ready software with support from your mentor and team
Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews, version control, and engineering best practices
Learn the systems and technical areas your work contributes to, including how they operate at scale
Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen your technical skills and problem-solving approach
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners to solve problems for consumers, merchants, and delivery partners
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, graduating between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027
At least two previous software engineering internships or equivalent practical experience, with no more than two years of full-time professional experience
Experience using at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, or Kotlin
A solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
Experience working with databases and technologies such as SQL
Experience writing clean code, using version control, and creating unit tests
